I walked into Kristen’s front door yesterday and I immediately fell in love with her home. The character, the window seat and the nursery are so beautiful. This is why I love going to your home. I’m a big believer that you’ll want to remember what it felt like to have your new baby in your own home. 

I noticed our photos from previous sessions hung on the walls and framed on tables. I’ve been photographing Kristen and her daughter since she was little. Recently I had the honor of capturing her wedding, maternity, and just yesterday- their lifestyle newborn session. So many emotions. Watching Kristen’s daughter proudly hold her new little brother was such a great moment to see and document. I can’t thank her enough for allowing me into her life, following alongside her on their journey and capturing these milestones. It’s the best feeling. 🥹

This is a milestone I totally regret not capturing for my family so I get relive this moment for you. It brings back all the feels. 👶🏻

I’m also putting the finishing touches on my website and a new scheduling program to make things easier for everyone. I’m so excited for all of these new beginnings. Heading home tonight! ✈️

My brain is jammed packed. My heart is full of all the memories and friends that we created these past few days. And my belly is full of tortilla chips. (I went to 423 taco 3 times 😂🤤🌮) Thank you Ali for joining me on this adventure. ☺️

Looking forward to start implementing all of the knowledge nuggets I gained. One step at a time. I’m so thankful I got the opportunity to do this. (Thank you Ricky, my parents, and Ricky’s parents for watching our girls. 🙌🏻)

It’s like Spring here in Chattanooga TN 🌷

Day 2 of the @theresetconference and loving it. Yesterday I learned about branding, automation, and off camera flash tips. Today I’m excited to learn more about tips & tricks for seniors and mini sessions. 🙌🏻

"What do we wear?" is the most common question I receive after clients select their location.  What you will wear is totally up to you.  Wear something that you are comfortable in and is flattering to your body type.  Here are some tips and tricks that may be visually pleasing:

For family sessions, pick out a 3-4 color scheme.  Make sure everyone is wearing at least 1 color from the scheme.  Wear layers and textures.  Add accessories- headbands, bows, vests, jean jackets, blazers, ties, or boots to complete your look.  Dress weather appropriate.  Be sure to check the forecast and dress accordingly.  You do not want to be too hot or too cold. 

Choose colors that represent your season. 

Pastels, or neutral tones for Spring.  Blues, pinks, purples look great against a lush green backdrop. This image is a perfect example of having a few patterns in the same color scheme. 🌷📷✨
