Kenzie’s Rhode Island senior photos were a family affair in one of my favorite locations. From funny to serious faces among the beautiful mansion grounds, there is so much to love about this senior session.
I’ve watched Kenzie and her sister Madison grow up over the years, and I have now had the honor of taking both of their senior portraits. They live in Connecticut, but they didn’t mind coming to Rhode Island to have Kenzie’s session at Blithewold Mansion after I showed them photos of the grounds.
I purchase a membership with the Mansion every year because it is the best place for a variety of backdrops. They have it all. A garden full of flowers, a moon circle stone arch, a bamboo forest, a pond, and the ocean view with a dock. Not to mention the actual mansion itself with its stone steps and terrace. The options are endless!
Kenzie’s outfits really showed off her big personality and I loved each one. With a couple of casual dresses, a formal dress, and a casual jeans outfit, we were able to cover all of our bases. I like to tell my girl seniors with dresses to grab the bottom of their dress and twirl from side to side. They usually find it awkward at first, but then a true laugh will come out of it. I like lots of movement, whether it’s walking, running, or twirling, as it helps them relax.
Carolyn, Kenzie’s mom, wanted to include some family photos as well. This is always an option with my senior packages! Including the family was so much fun, especially since the whole session was a family affair already. Kenzie’s big sister Madison helped so much with the outfit changes and also took some behind the scenes videos for me for social media. Kenzie’s dad Paul held the reflector for me. It was so lovely to have the whole family pitching in and help Kenzie feel her best!
This senior session went perfectly and Kenzie is so much fun to capture. Her Rhode Island senior photos turned out amazing, which is no surprise as she is the cutest!
Want to book your own Rhode Island senior photo session? Let’s chat! I’d love to capture this exciting time, and maybe even include the family!
