While Christina and Kyle live in Boston, they have a special place in their hearts for Rhode Island. So it was no surprise that they had their Rhode Island wedding at Eisenhower House. Their day was full of beauty, tradition, and love, and I was honored to be a part of it!
Built in 1873, Eisenhower House was once the summer White House of President Dwight D. Eisenhower. Located in Fort Adams in Newport, RI, it overlooks the ocean with a beautiful view of the Newport Bridge. I absolutely loved all of the soft colors, pastels, ocean view, historic venue, and nautical charm. Most brides and grooms rent a tent on the lawn for their reception, and that is exactly what Christina and Kyle did. There are so many options for backdrops for photos at this historic venue, which is a photographer’s dream. The house, the tent, the lawn, the ocean - we walked around the property and took photos in all of the venue’s nooks and crannies. I love a venue with options for photos!
From the beautiful ceremony on the steps of the house to the gorgeous tent reception on the lawn overlooking the ocean, Christina and Kyle had personal touches everywhere. As a music lover and part of a string quartet herself, Christina walked down the aisle to the moving sounds of a string quartet. Christina and Kyle joined their families in a circle to dance to a traditional Greek song to honor their Greek family. The band was amazing and Christina’s brother even got to join in and play on stage. All of that on top of the heartfelt toasts that were made and you have a beautiful day full of love.
Fireworks lit up the sky as the end of their perfect Rhode Island wedding was approaching. I hugged Christina and Kyle goodbye and wished them well, but I was hopeful I would see them again because I really enjoyed being around them. They have the most infectious energy and good vibes.
I was lucky enough to capture their maternity and first family session as well. I love their story and I’m honored to be the one to capture their life’s precious milestones.
